Later Fall 2023

This year Erin, Tessie, and I traveled to Capon Springs WV

Earlier this year one of our flights to DC was delayed due to a military jet flyover on the Mall. This event had clearly been planned and the airline knew ahead of time, but the delay wasn't announced to the passengers until we were on the tarmac. Determined to never be so underinformed again, now I check the FAA national flight operations plan every day that I fly. When we flew to DC for Capon there were no delays for our area, but I noticed that South Dakota had a constraint due to opening of pheasant hunting season. Good to know.

Erin and Charlie discovered a secret reservoir of balls in the eaves of the ping-pong house

There was a partial solar eclipse that was visible to the naked eye due to heavy cloud cover. We hope for clearer skies this April for the total solar eclipse

Back home for Halloween

We had a sheep, a pirate

and an angel

Erin made the postseason squad for varsity XC. In the league championship meet their team finished #2

On my birthday I volunteered at Minuteman NHP clearing invasive plants with Caroline

We also did our 20-mile bike ride through Lexington and Concord

One of my bday gifts was a set of base layers. With my underpowered mitochondrial thermogenesis, I wear base layers most winter days.

Tessie wanted to try blue hair, but once it set she hated it and showered twice a day to try to wash it out

Hmm, where would go to find a chafeless elastic girth?

The local saddlery, where Tessie bought new riding chaps
