Holidays 2022

One of our holiday traditions, the gingerbread house, is a bit of a mess to build

but provides enjoyment for all

Another tradition, the Christmas tree, also provides enjoyment for all

and a mess to clean up Reggie's pine needle barf

Grandma Joan sewed reusable fabric bags to substitute for wrapping paper

making our Xmas tree a little greener

With newly knitted hats from Chinda, we attended the Midwinter Revels in Cambridge

Erin picked up some HU merch

It was very cold for our Xmas Eve caroling at the town bandstand

I knocked out the NYT's biggest ever Super-Mega crossword

Xmas morning

Once again family, friends, and Santa were very generous with gifts

The Lexington reservoir froze enough for us to brave skating over the shallows

Then we headed down to Maryland where amazingly there was ice on the dredge pond at Katy and Brad's

The kids ate their first pomegranate

Tessie composed a song on the piano

and then it was over to Claire and Peter's for costume parties. First, the Betsy-Tacy party

They watched 70s TV from the Nancy Drew-Hardy Boys show

and then it was on to a Renaissance New Year's party
