Summer at Home

After our trip to DC we settled into the summer routine. Caroline split time at two day camps, where swimming twice a day is her favorite activity. We have paid a price some evenings with epic meltdowns and as a result our 6 year-old has cried more this summer than Erin & Tessie combined. Weekends have been a lot of fun with well-rested older girls and a not yet mobile baby.

Another comparison with Caroline at 4 months in her Fatty Lumpkin phase and Tessie at 7 months

Erin dressed up like a cat for her circus show

Friends Chinda and Fatma visited for a reunion

and the girls loved the new splash park on the Charles River

In the backyard they do water play. Think two hoses with two spray nozzles and water everywhere.

Since Tessie can't crawl, we can hang out with her outside

We all marvel at the pumpkin plants that took over the front yard

We continued the tradition of a trip to Somers with friends. This time Jean visited from NYC.

And the summer picnic at West Farm was delayed until one of the hottest days of the year.

Even Tessie found a way to enjoy the popcorn chicken
