We managed to find 4 weeks of outdoor day camp for Tessie
Erin and Caroline completed the Lexington biking challenge of visiting all 9 public schools in one 15-mile ride
These are the round of caterpillars that we will tag when they become monarchs
The older girls took a week-long Zoom class on cake decorating
When Tropical Storm Isaias knocked out Grandma and Grampa's power, they came to stay with us for a few days
Yes this is real holiday on August 8th
We had a bat invasion that started with one that appeared in Tessie's room in the middle of the night. Tundra woke her up chasing the bat around. We thought maybe her stuffy Fruity had recruited it.
But then several more appeared in her room in the middle of the night and she took refuge in the downstairs bedroom with Reggie
I captured one of them and froze it for rabies testing. It came back negative. We localized the point of entry as the attic but after the 7th entry into the upstairs living space, we had to call in a removal company to seal off the entrances.
Mohonk was offering single-night stays and we decided to meet Katy and co. for an action-packed 24 hr stay
The Crevice
and the Lemon Squeeze
The outdoor swimming was phenomenal in the clean, deep lake
Tessie graduated to the 24-inch big girl bike
This one did fly out, and then probably came back a few days later
