Last days of freedom

As usual Caroline had a 2nd birthday celebration at home

Grandma Joan brought an artsy cat puzzle to entertain the kids for the 2nd half of February break. Can you find Frida Catlo, Vincat van Gogh, and Henri Catisse's works?

Maybe Tessie will be our card player

After searching for local makerspaces to expand the girls' skillsets, we found The Makery in Brookline, which had a doll house room class

We used the cutouts from their laser saw along with fabrics, beads, and paints

Caroline's room

 Erin's

It came out a little too well. The first night, we put it in a dark room in view of the neighbors. 15 minutes later we get a call that they were just about to call the fire department for the smokeless blaze in our sunroom. Sorry about that!

We reloaded on dress-up clothes at the $2 per pound room of the Garment District

I remember when I saw a 2-headed rabbit born with just one head

The hat, pants, and slippers were less than a buck

I showed the girls my office and lab near Kendall Square

Caroline attended Heather's concert and got to hang out with the musicians during the intermission

Tundra is still part stuffed animal

Erin's 5th grade chorus sang "Surfin USA"

7th grade science continues the model building

Caroline's model will make it into my permanent collection

As the Covid-19 concerns grew, we recognized a chance to hit Boda Borg with all 5 of us

Tessie was our good luck charm because we finished Potions

and Access. If you read carefully, you'll see that it says Access Denied. Turns out that was foreshadowing...
