April 2019

This spring Tessie figured out bike riding

and her writing is coming along enough to make a lepercon werd shrch

Now the whole family can venture out on 2 wheels. One Sunday we went down the bike path...

...and ran into a colonial battle reenactment! Huzzah!

Aunt Claire and Uncle Peter's family visited over Patriot's Day

and since Marathon Monday was a washout, we went to Boda Borg

 This is Access: "Intruder detected"

Caroline completed 11 quests, a new record

At home there was a quest of another kind

featuring Dext and the usual array of challenges

like US physiographic provinces

 and Patriot's Day trivia

and eating Bertie Bott's jelly beans, including vomit. Rowan impressively managed to get them down.

Claire visited a new used book store

and led the Easter Egg decorating

On the one nice day we visited the Battle Road

where Paul Revere's capture sire was just a mud pit

Two minutewomen and one minuteman Junior Rangers

Poor Arlington got outplayed by Lexington and Concord when it comes to Patriot's Day and the Shot Heard Round the World. More men died in Arlington than in any other town during the day's fighting and one house has the original bullets lodged in its walls. Shortsighted town planners paved over the town green years ago and now reenactments take place on Mass Ave alongside the Arlington House of Pizza.

Tundra noticed this guy trying to find a place to nap one Sunday morning. He slept all day next to the skylight and fortunately has not been seen (or heard in the eaves) again.

Room 3 of Ball Kroll. It is full of yoga balls and you have to press lighted buttons on the walls

Dave's quest started out in the dark

Easy physical challenge

The challenge was to dance for 27 seconds on one square and then jump to a square of the same color

Tyler to Grant is a tough sequence and she nailed it

Once in a while all 3 girls play together
