Easter 2016

It was Tessie's turn to travel to Atlanta to see Grandma Lu and the Atlanta Zoo

Finally a goat that doesn't nibble on shoelaces and hair

On the trip home poor Heather carried Tessie like this from the airport rental car center then to the sky train then with luggage to the check-in counters then through security then onto the terminal train then to the food court and then to the gate, where Tessie woke up in time for the 2 1/2 hour flight to Boston.

Meanwhile, Dad savors the cozy reading time with the older girls

Not far from our house is Tessie's street. I sense that some teenage mischief in the future may land that sign at 12 Taft Ave.

Caroline's final birthday event was a party at an indoor trampoline park

with climbing, too

Third birthday cake

Now for Easter part one, in New York to see Aunt Claire and family

Even a full acre lot with hundreds of rock wall crevices couldn't stop the 6 kids from scouring all the eggs hidden well by the Easter Bunny

After completing his own chore-laden but still-excellent quest designed by Aunt Claire, Dave hosted a quest for the kids on Sunday. The theme this year was the 1970s card game Dragonmaster and the lost tribespeople of the Warriors, Druids, Nomads, and Dragonlords.

Once the Staff of Power was decoded and the Runesword activated, the kids were able to defeat their nemesis Mordave and recover his treasure.

The first day of spring greeted us with slushy snow and a 2-hour school delay. Four days later this sad snowman was completely gone.

Aunt Katy and family flew up to spend Easter with us again

Good Friday was our day of indoor crafts

 Charlie's birthday

We went to the Garment District in Cambridge to load up on more fancy dress-up clothes

Apparently that is Lyla's teenager look

Our National Park outing was to Lowell to see the mills. The excellent pho at a nearby Vietnamese restaurant was almost as memorable.

Trolley drivers

Again the Easter Bunny set up a second hunt in our tiny yard.

We climbed Mt. Wachusett again on a warm March day

Watch closely - this could be our ticket to fame on America's Funniest Home Videos

Can they solve the riddle of the holey stone?

With cool threads and a funky beat, Caroline can't resist a little boogy

and she keeps it up with the Gandalf hat

they never fail to impress, these 100-year old, water-powered, cloth-making marvels
