Christmas in MA & ATL

Twas the night before Christmas and Max was in the house

 Twas the morning of Christmas

The Encyclopedia Britannica science library! Just what they've always wanted.

Tessie's haul was smaller than the girls, but she didn't seem to mind

On the 26th we flew to Atlanta, where amazingly, the airport car rental companies had run out of cars. Well, all places but this boutique company Sixt that rents high-end vehicles. With the choice of a Corvette or an Audi A6, we chose the Audi. To their credit, after 1 day we tried to return the Audi and they offered it to us for $45 a day for the rest of the trip. We also picked up a second car, a small Cadillac, that on our last day stalled out with check engine warnings and was removed by tow truck.

We visited Uncle Joe, Aunt Tracy, and Jenna at their new home in Decatur, within walking distance of Emory University

While Mom helped Grandma Lu manage doctor visits, Dad took the girls to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area

Props to Tessie for spotting this guy on the trail
