GAKFCOH

And finally the last installment from our eastern US adventure showcases our journey to the Carty Family Reunion with Grandma Lu.  Dave and the girls even managed to squeak in a visit to Ohio before their plane flight out of Cincinnati.  Imagine the looks of sympathy solo Dad got traveling with 3 girls.

In our brief stop through Atlanta, we picked up Grandma Lu, and the result was a completely full Town & Country.

Some might argue that our true destination in Kentucky was Corbin, home of KFC number 1. Nice to see that the Commonwealth of Kentucky recognizes the importance of KFC to its state's notoriety. This is changing now that the official name of the franchise is KFC.
 The colonel and Caroline
Outside the reunion hall was this giant wall of shale, and Erin loved to take pieces and break them up with her bare hands
 Grandma Lu and her granddaughters
 The two Losey Moms
Tessie had fun toodling around the recreation hall
That's Lu's Uncle Gene, and we still grow his pole beans in our garden every summer
Lu's cousin Sharon, who organizes the reunion every year
Lu's Aunt Page

On the way home from the reunion, Dad took all three girls to Cincinnati for the flight home. Since we were there, we dropped in on the William Howard Taft National Historic Site. This life-size cardboard cutout gives you a sense of how big a man he was.
