Holidays 2012

The holiday season this year was unique in more ways than one. For the first time in our 15 years in Boston we did not travel anywhere. The girls had 11 straight days off at home and it was great. Baby Tessie is in the eat, poop, and sleep groove and spent most of her time close to Mom.

You can't tell by the photo, but we are in a movie theater watching the Hobbit on the big screen. Tessie's first flick!

Chinda and Andy visited from sunny California for a couple of days

The Christmas gifts were a huge hit - thank you everyone for your generosity. Santa's contribution to Erin were these accessories for her mermaid outfit.

With lots of rest and a houseful of treats and toys the girls played together all break

For a change of pace we tried a campout in the basement. Caroline got to sleep in the cardboard castle, a Christmas gift (thanks Aunt Tracy and Uncle Joe). Erin slept in the fairy tent and Dad was on the couch. The girls were up until 11 pm and in the morning complained of the hard floor - girls after their Mom's heart.

This year Caroline got the hang of sledding. No more kiddie hills either - this is the big-kid hill with perfectly packed icy snow. After some tandem runs she bombed down a couple of times on her own, even surviving her first wipeout. Erin took a couple runs but isn't ready yet for the thrill rides.

Erin's Santa sightings - she even saw Rudolph glowing his nose
