Spring peeps

By April 6th the snow had mostly melted and Dad, Caroline, & Tessie stayed home while Mom & Erin went to Atlanta. Tessie is thrilled to be able to toddle around outside.

In Atlanta Erin occupied herself with more fairy house construction

The next weekend Dad and the older girls went to NY leaving Tessie & Mom to attend the shower for Erin's teacher Jenn

Reading books is her new favorite activity

The older girls felt that their London Olympic mascots needed to tie the knot

Caroline styled Erin's hair to look like a "hobbit princess"

For the second half of the week Grandma Joan & Grampa Ed came up to watch Caroline. As usual, Tessie loves Grampa Ed.

Smell ya later, Winter 2014

Poor Tessie returned from Florida with a recurring ear infection that she could not clear. After two weeks of antibiotics and intermittent super-high fevers we finally had an ENT visit to evaluate getting ear tubes. The doctor thought the case was so severe that she had surgery two days later.

At the hospital

And here she is a couple of days later, truly a different child. She even stopped doing her trademark cobra pose at the end of the day. Now that she can finally hear clearly, she is so much happier.

Unfortunately, Mom came down with an illness herself

and Erin also caught something.

In the new year Caroline jumped into reading Harry Potter. We'll see how she manages as the books get longer and more complicated, but so far she's plowing through remarkably well.

Tessie likes to row-row-row with the baby dolls

Erin went from being a winter wimp last year to a real trooper this year. Don't those steps look perfect for a toddler to climb?

Erin braved ice skates this year and even if her true motivation was the promise of hot chocolate, she did get out on the ice

March dessert - popsicles on the stoop

On St. Patrick's Day another naughty leprechaun snuck into our house and played tricks on the girls. Erin is helping clean up his green footprints everywhere.

Dad relaxing with the girls watching Cosmos. So what if Erin's favorite part is the cartoon where Giordano Bruno gets burned at the stake.

Oh Tessie, you don't know what you're in for when it comes to dress-up

There's our happy girl.
